>>>Adrian Mole's scribbling for the twenty-first century. Working as a bookseller and living in Leicester's Rat Wharf; finding time to write letters of advice to Tim Henman and Tony Blair; locked in mortal combat with a vicious swan called Gielgud; measuring his expanding bald spot; and trying to escape the clutches of Marigold and win over her voluptuous sister Daisy ... Adrian still yearns for a better more meaningful world. And he is not ready to surrender his pen yet ... <<<

Thsi is a very funnybook; I laughed out loud as I read it.
Adrian battles Gielgud the cob ("a swan can break a man's arm, you know!"), is manipulated by the clinging Marigold and her parents, is nagged by his talking refrigerator, gets heavily into debt and finds true love yet again.

Posted to Neesy. Enjoy :)
Received in the mail this week. I love Adrian Mole and am looking forward to reading the latest addition to the series.
As per all other Adrian Mole Diaries this one is a great laugh! I enjoyed it immensely and hope that everyone else does too. Sending to Arrietty once I have postal details.

Received in mail yesterday. Unfortunately I'm reading the Mole books out of order as I've just finished 'Cappuccino Years' - never mind, they're always fun and don't take long to read.
Sorry didn't realise I had had this book so long! Anyway it was alot of fun even if I had a little cry at the end. I liked it much more than Cappucino Years as it was more topical and the characters seemed fresher and - I particularly enjoyed the piggery makeover, the Rat Warf psycho swans and The wacky Flower family. But please.....why is Ms Townsend keeping us in suspence about Mr Carton-Hayes' lover - Sigh, we'll just have to sign up for the next book, I suspect it will be called Adrian Mole, The Twilight Years! Will pm c-a-m now re sending it on its way.
Rec'd this book today.
Thankyou for posting Arrietty.

Ohhh goodie (rubs hands together), Ive been looking forward to reading this one :)
I really loved this book. It reminded me so much of my teen years reading the A Mole books. Usually when I read funny books I just giggle internally but no not with this one. I was snorting and cacking myself left right and centre. A fabulously funny book that I highly recommend to anyone who enjoyed the earlier years books.

I forgot to say in my last post that I was waiting to see if he measured his penis in this book but obviously he has given up that past time! lol
Posting on to magicjessnrach today.

Finished this on the weekend courtesy of the cold I am nursing :) Will contact MadamMuck and pass it on. I enjoyed this far more than The Cappucino Years, Adrian seems back to his old self in this one. I did miss seeing lots of Pandora though. Thanks for a such fun read.
Received in the mail today. Good old Adrian. I love the passage on the back already.
"My birthday. I am thirty-five today. I am officially middle-aged. It is all downhill from now. A pathetic slide towards gum disease, wheelchair ramps and death."
Will read this shortly

Another set of eccentric ramblings from Mr A Mole. As a career banker I cringed every time he decided that the answer was to accept another credit card, poor Parvez having to be the bad guy at the end (a talking fridge, I think I would commit fridg'a'cide)
Hopefully our strange Mr Mole has got the woman situtation right this time after escaping the clutches of the clingy, manipulative Marigold and her rather strange family.
This was a quick read, pleasant distraction from some of Mt TBR that keeps intruding on my guilty conscience.
