One of this year's bestsellers. I quite liked it - only the end is typical Dan Brown-bullshit. I always get the feeling towards the end of his books he is running out of ideas and does everything just to get it over with. But anyway, the rest of the book is very interesting and an enjoyable read.
If enough people are interested, this one goes out as a european bookring.

Arrived this morning (thanks samulli). Will probably be started after Christmas.

This was the sort of book I would describe as a favourite before reading. The plot thickens, chapters end on a knife edge and there's thought provoking imagery all the way through.

I found it very hard to put down, and will seek out other Dan Brown titles. Thanks samulli for sharing, posting to the next on the list soon.

Journal Entry 6 by Annkrozeika from Downham Market, Norfolk United Kingdom on Wednesday, January 11, 2006
Thank you Molekilby, I received the book this morning. This is my first Bookring book, so I was like a little excited kid when I opened the parcel! :) I have read the first chapter and I'm very intrigued. I think I'm going to like this book :)

Will finish as soon as I can and journal again when I pass it on to Rosiewhippet.

I admit defeat. I had been wanting to read this book ever since I saw a documentary about it on TV last year sometime. I found the documentary fascinating, but I just could not get into the book. I tried so hard, and am quite disappointed with myself for not persevering. I thought it best to just let it go (especially since my next Bookring book, also from Samulli, is currently on it's way to me) So...I have PMed Rosiewhippet for her address and will send on as soon as I hear back from her.

Thanks to Samulli for sharing and to Molekilby for passing it on (and pinning my GuestMap!!)

Journal Entry 8 by Annkrozeika from Downham Market, Norfolk United Kingdom on Thursday, February 2, 2006
Sent on it's way to Rosiewhippet on Tuesday 31st January. I look forward to coming back and reading what other people think of this book. :)

Edited to add: Had a PM from Rosiewhippet on 6th February to say the book arrived safely.

Well I am nearly 3/4's of the way through and can't put it down!! I keep saying to myself at the end of this chapter I will go and make myself a cup of tea...6 chapters later I am dying of thirst!!

Hopefully should finish it in the next couple of days. Will also get the address for the next persons today or tomorrow.

Might read a bit more now! xx

I absolutely loved that book!...was actually quite sad to have finnished it. I will be going out this weekend to buy some more books by Dan Brown!!

I post the book yesterday 06/03/06 to Gadl in France. Unfortunately it is surface mail, and hopefully won't take too long to get there.

Hopefully it is ok with you all...I am doing the '2006-Keep them Moving Challenge' and would like to forward it on as part of this challenge.

Thanks very much to Samulli for this Ring. Let me know if you ever do any other Dan Brown Ring's!!!!

The book arrived today safely. Apparently a stowaway sheep hid into book to cross the channel...
Thanks! I'll start reading it very soon.

I finished this book last week while on vacation and posted it this morning to Jaycee1972.

It took me a while to really enter into the story. Part of my problem was that one of the first pages proudly claims that all descriptions are accurate, and yet because the initial action takes place in Paris where I live, I would disagree with some of them (like comparing "Jardin des Tuileries" to Central Parc and even driving thru it). Anyway, I got over my initial deception, and overall I enjoyed the book.

Received in the post from gadl. Thank you!

Journal Entry 15 by Jaycee1972 from Belper, Derbyshire United Kingdom on Friday, June 23, 2006
Took this book on holiday to Norway and I loved it. I wasn't really expecting to as I thought the popularity of this book was hype but it is seems it is well deserved. I found the book to be a real page turner and very thought provoking as well as being a good story. I liked the twists and turns. My husband also read the book on our hols and enjoyed it.

I will be looking out for other Dan Brown titles. Thanks for sharing Samulli. I have pmed favouritecat and will send the book on as soon as I have an address.

Edit 25/06 - favouritecat has asked to be skipped. Pming Samulli.

More readers have been added to the list. The book is being posted surface mail to Jensa-chan today. Happy reading!

Journal Entry 17 by samulli from Weimar, Thüringen Germany on Monday, September 3, 2007
As this book apparently never made it to Jensa-chan, I am afraid we have to consider it lost in the mail.
Sorry for the guys who were still waiting to read it, and a big thank-you to all you guys who faithfully sent it on. Maybe it will resurface sometime somewhere...
