A thirty seven year old American journalist finds herself pregnant and married to an English foreign correspondent whom she met in Cairo. From the outset, their relationship is an uneasy one - as she finds her husband and his city to be more foreign than imagined. Her problems soon turn into nightmares when she discovers that everything can be taken down and used against you.
This book is a real page turner. The author writes in the first person as a woman and is very convincing. This is basically the story of the couples relationship and her battle with postnatal depression.
I think I will offer this up as a ring.

A great read. The story reminded me a bit of that Sally Field movie "Not Without My Daughter".

I've enjoyed the reading. It's true it is a real page turner. Last days I couldn't put it down. But it's not at all the kind of story I thought it was.
