It's a new month... time for some new bug fixes!
While Matt is still working on harnessing the book data that we all have contributed to, and making it available for searches, he's also been rather busy fixing other things, and even adding some nifty little features. Read all about it in this Announcements forum post.

It is 1849. A major cholera epidemic threatens London. Joshua Jeavons, engineer, is completing his great drain plan for the capital, driven by a vision of London freed of rotting sewers, cleansed and reborn. Then his beautiful young wife suddenly disappears and he must turn his attention to new and perplexing questions. Joshua's search for the answers to the mysteries that surround him leads to the shores of the Thames where only sewer-scavengers thrive; to glittering Haymarket cafes; and finally to the dangerous heart of London's slums.

I bought this book because it's by Matthew Kneale, author of English Passengers, one of my favourite books of the last 10 years. Sweet Thames was quite enjoyable but not a patch on English Passengers. I have a feeling I'll forget this book quite soon, despite it being quite a good read at the time.
