passed on to a BCIE memeber during the January Meetup
Picked up at bookcrossingie meeting because I am a fool who takes too many books.
The Mary Sue-ness of the main characters put me off for a while, but I eventually got into it and found that, despite my expectations, not all the characters were clear cut good or bad. There is too much info dumping, especially in the first half. If this was his first book, I would look out for later ones by him, but I see it isn't - he already has one published. So, I don't know.
Reserved for a non-bookcrosser.
Given to me by Nut in Cineworld before we went to see Indiana Jones and the Crystal Skull.
Fascinating story. I brought this on holiday thinking it would last me a week at least - I had it finished in three days. Couldn't put it down. Excellent historical novel.
