1 journaler for this copy...
Bought this book for bookclub. Is it just me, or was this a HUGE jump from The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe? :)
I tried. I really, really tried. Multiple times, in different chairs, different rooms in the house, different times of the day. Unfortunately, this book is not happening for me. And I'm especially sad because it was on my list of "Classics my school didn't read that I want to read".
I made it through almost all of Book One, and was able to discuss it intelligently at Book Club (I think). But I've been trying to finish the rest for tomorrow's meeting, and I just can't do it. Wonder how many people will have finished it?
Well, I tried. And that's that. This copy has lots of extras, too -- tons of footnotes (part of the distraction, for me), endnotes, a really interesting chronology and description of More and the times in which he wrote this (that part I read!), something by William Roper, and then some. It's sort of the book equivalent of the bonus footage on most DVDs now.
I'm glad I tried.
