Wow!! Thank you SciFisstrs, I have always wanted to read this book (and her next one) ever since seeing the movie years ago!! I love the Native American culture as it is similiar to mine (Aboriginal - Bundjalung Clan). Can't wait to read this book - thanks so much for yet another wishlist book. You have spoilt me :) Thanks again!

Loved this book! A lot of similarities between Native American culture and my Australian Aboriginal culture ... which is always the way with Indigenous peoples. Mary Crow Dog jumps back and forth a little but not enough to 'lose' you if you know what I mean. Knowing a fair bit of the people and issues going on (and still happening) during the time she writes about makes it all the more personal for me.

RABCK for an exchange .. enjoy!
received in the Spring Exchange, looks very interesting.....
an amazing book of Dog Mary Crow's life, the similarities between indigenous people of North America and Australia when 'white man' comes to 'civilise' them is quite mind blowing. An excellent read.
