Origin of Species by Means of Natural Selection: Or the Preservation of Favoured Races in the Struggle for Life (English Library)
6 journalers for this copy...
I bought this after reading a lot of modern stuff about evolution (Richard Dawkins is excellent!), and figured that I should get it straight from the horses mouth. Problem is that I know evolution is true - so i don't need to be convinced in the way this book is trying to do. Scientific research has also progresses hugely, so a lot of that blanks this leaves have been filled in by other books I've read.
In short, I didn't enjoy this at all, in fact couldn't finish it. Still one of the greatest scientists who ever lived, but just not one I will read.

WILD RELEASE NOTES:
RELEASE NOTES:
This book has arrived in San Diego, California.
While mining Mt. TBR to participate in a bookbox, I discovered I have another copy of this book. My copy doesn't have as good of an introduction as this copy does, however. Anyway, I am now going to pass this copy on to the next person in the ray rather than holding it up any longer.
Received today. Will read and pass on as soon as possible.
Mailed on to Hak.
Thanks!
Thanks!
The book arrived today. I'm hoping to make a significant dent in it before the new semester begins on Monday.
Well, needless to say I didn't make enough of a dent in this before the semester began. ;)
The book has a really nice introduction. The text is difficult to get through, but it's spiffy to see where the backbone of the science of biology today came from.
Sending it on to the next person this week.

I got the book last week... Sorry for not registering right away!
Thanks a lot for sending it to me!
