Journal Entry 1 by Amberkatze from Wien Bezirk 10 - Favoriten, Wien Austria on Tuesday, November 15, 2005
Got this from a second hand shop today. Amazon.com - Ayinde is a beautiful, biracial newscaster who moves to Philadelphia after her husband, a star player for the NBA, is traded to the 76ers. She meets Becky, an overweight chef who plays the "pregnant or just fat" game every time she passes a mirror, and Kelly, an overachieving event planner who has her whole life mapped out down to the most minute details, after going into labor at a prenatal yoga class. The three become fast friends, and come to rely on each other for everything from burping techniques to intense emotional support. The group grows to include Lia, a semi-famous Hollywood starlet who leaves her husband and returns to Philly after a sudden tragedy.

Journal Entry 3 by Amberkatze from Wien Bezirk 10 - Favoriten, Wien Austria on Wednesday, November 30, 2005
This is a wishlist bookring. I saw that alot of people had this book on their www.Cliff1976.com wishlist so I decided to contact only those people to join the ring. This means that this ring is full and only people who I personally contacted will be allowed to join. Please make a journal entry as soon as you recieve the book and also when you send it to the next person. Then we know where the book is! When you are finished with the book please PM the next person on the list and ask for their address so you can send it on to them! Also let us know what you thought of the book but don't give too much away! Lastly if you have nicer bookcrossing labels or stickers then decorate the book a little! Also stick a postcard from your country in with a message! Could be fun :) I haven't heard back from everyone and the list is quite long so be patient!! Although I ask everyone to try and read this book and send it on to the next person as quick as possible! I know that there are always everyday things that get in the way so I am sure everyone waiting will understand if it takes a few weeks. However try and keep this moving as much as possible so we have a nice successful ring! I even had to find a map of the US to check where all the states were so that the order made sure that the book wasn't going to be travelling back and forth! Here is the bookring order so far! 1 - Kaisa64 from Finland <-- Completed! 2 - Matty from Canada <-- Completed! 3 - Breeze144 from Canada <-- Completed! 4 - Everett-reader from the USA (WA) <-- Completed! 5 - Athomegoddess from the USA (CA) <-- Completed! 6 - Karenlea from the USA (CA) <-- Completed! 7 - Ladyjanet from the USA (IL) <-- Completed! 8 - algoan from the USA (IN) <-- Completed! 9 - Kimsbooks03 from the USA (PA) <-- Skipped 10 - Sabeena29 from the USA (MA) <-- Skipped 11 - Rubyjules from the USA (VT) <-- Completed! 12 - eureka79 from the USA (VT) <-- Asked to be skipped 13 - Wyldanthem from the USA (VA) <-- Arrived Nov Book went AWOL! 14 - Spaceystacey from the USA (NJ) <-- Replacement copy donated by this Bookcrosser! I finished this book and must say that Jennifer Weiner has once again written a good book. The story of this book was great and I liked how the stories of the characters begun as their own and later came together. I didn't like this book quite as much as Weiner's other books, but I still thought it was good. The older books just were closer to my life as I'm not yet anywhere near having a baby in my life :D Thank you AmberKatze once again, I really enjoyed this book. I'm soon sending this to the next person in the ring!

I had never read any Jennifer Weiner before and I wasn't disappointed! This was a really fun read. It got into the lives of the characters but stayed away from sentimentality. I would definitely read more of her books. I'll be sending it on to Breeze144 tomorrow.

Journal Entry 9 by Breeze144 from Ajax, Ontario Canada on Sunday, February 05, 2006
This is such a sweet book! I got into it right away and loved the characters right from the get go! Weiner (seems) to present the real side of pregnancy and parenting, not just the excitment and 'fun' of having a baby. One thing that left me wondering was, why didn't the women ever return to the yoga class where they met? I don't remember them disliking it so much that they wouldn't return, but it almost seems it never came up again! Also, this is a pretty thick book, but I still kind of feel left hanging because I wanted to know how things resolved themseleves! We know pretty well what happens to Kelly, but the other three? I wondering if Weiner hadn't included so many characters if she would have been better able to tie up the end of the story? This will be off to Everett-reader this week!

I really, really loved this book. It was my first by Weiner and I am now excited to check out her other novels. I loved how this story was both hysterically funny and heart breaking, often in the same chapters. I grew attached to all of the characters and was sad to have the story end. The author interview in the back of the book was also very interesting. I will be mailing this off to the next reader on Thursday. Thank you for sharing!!!!

Oh my goodness -- I'm so sorry, guys! I came to the 'ring page to find out who the next reader is and realized I hadn't journaled this book's safe arrival at the end of November! Can I plead holiday craziness? *blush* At any rate, I'm nearly finished and have just contacted Spaceystacey for her address. I will post my thoughts as soon as I'm finished and will ship the book on to the next reader as soon as I hear back from Stacey. Sorry again, everyone!

Hey, everyone -- sorry to have held this ray up and caused so much trouble for everyone. I'd meant to send this on in December but got bogged down dealing with other stuff, and ... well, here we are. The book is still safe and sound, and Amberkatze has asked me to send it on to tabyorky (if she's still interested). I've PMed her and will ship as soon as I get her address. Again, sorry for the trouble. I hope everyone enjoys the book.
