The premise of this book was very interesting: the hero of the book is also a serial killer. I hadn't read any reviews, so I didn't know what to expect, but I quickly noticed that Darkly Dreaming Dexter is a mystery story with an original twist. I liked Dexter, and his thoughts were the most interesting part of this book. But not the only good part, as the murder mystery grabbed your interest from the very beginning, and near the end there was no way I could stop reading before I had finished the book. I was amazed by the author's ability to capture his reader: when Dexter was admiring the work of the other serial killer, I completely understood why he found the bodies so beautiful. I'm definitely going to read the sequel, Dearly Devoted Dexter.

I gave this to a bookcrosser at the Helsinki meet-up.

Picked this up at the Helsinki area meetup yesterday. I've watched a few seasons of Dexter with my boyfriend and thought he might enjoy the book. I might read it myself as well.

This book has been in my bookshelf for ages! My "boyfriend" (nowdays known as husband) did indeed read this but i never got round to it, so I think it's time for the book to finally move on!

I'll take the book to the Finnish BC summer meetup. Hopefully it will find a new reader there!

I haven't watched the TV series, but I was still interested in this book when I found it during the Finnish BC Summer Camp in Voipaala. It's going into my TBR pile. Thanks Silkki!

One of those books which keep you turning the next page and reading "just one more chapter before going to bed". I liked the idea that the whole book it's written in Dexter's point of view which makes me want to understand his motives. Thrilling!
