I have a hardback copy of this book in my 'to read' pile so I thought I'd release this copy into the wild to see if I can get to read it before someone leaves a message in this one's journal.

Taken to the Mini Meet this morning.

Picked up from the meet up today - enjoyed previous Townsends. Will add to the teetering Mount Toobie!

I don't think that I've beaten you to reading this one!

Really disappointing and a bit of a missed opportunity for Townsend in my opinion. Characters lacked real depth (perhaps not surprising where politicians are concerned!) and the lessons learnt by Edward Clare were either rare or superficial at best. I found the only character I really cared about was the budgie and he didn't have a happy ending!
