Journal Entry 8 by bookdejunking from London , Greater London United Kingdom on Sunday, November 25, 2007
This book came highly recommended and while I believed the recommendation I did not get round to reading it for some months probably due to the subject matter (boys building rockets and the size of the book – I have an aversion to long books). Now I have read it and can say I totally recommend it – I read it incredibly fast – so both the subject matter and the length were in no way an issue. I will be lending it to another BookCrossing member. It is so well written and evocative of America in the 50s and the space race. It seemed almost like a Norman Rockwell painting, I really enjoyed it.
