Journal Entry 1 by snowy652 from Abbotsford, British Columbia Canada on Thursday, November 3, 2005
This journal is about you -- the writer (and reader) of this journal. I would love to know all about you (or as much as you would like to share with me). Some questions to consider:

1. What is your name?
2. Where are you from?
3. What do you believe in?
4. What are your hobbies?
5. What do you do?
6. What are your likes/dislikes?
7. What are your hopes and dreams?
8. What is your favorite joke?
9. What is your favorite book? Why?
10. Who is your favorite author?

and anything else you would like to share.

Thank you so much for taking the time to tell me about yourself.

***Please journal the book when you receive it as well as when you send it to the next in line.
***When you are ready to send it PM the person after you on the mailing list for their address.
***If by chance the journal is full please send it back to me (snowy652) and I will send a replacement journal to the next person on the list.
***Please try and not hold on to the journal for more than 2 weeks (I know that at times life can throw us curve balls so if you need to keep longer we will understand -- just remember that many people are wanting to write and read this journal).
***Once I get the journal back I will pm you to see if you are interested in getting it back to read what others have added after you.
***Once I receive the other volumes back -- I will send them out as bookrings so that you (If you want) can read them as well.

Have fun and be creative!!!

Thanks for taking the time in joining this bookring and in moving it along -- I know that I and others appreciate it.

Blessings ~ ~ Shelley

It's here!~ What a beautiful lil book. Thank you Shelley for this wonderful idea and for sharing it with the rest of us.
I got home from a 'not so nice' day at work and found this on my table waiting for me..and honestly it was so lovely to open it up and find not just a book, but one that had some thing special in it..something personal shared by another bookcrosser.

It was so nice to read about you and the place you come from...and now I can hardly wait till the weekend before I start on writing in it myself!

I'd love to read it once it's completed its first round and has lots more in it!
Yippee!!My first Bookcrossing Journal!

This lovely journal arrived in the mail today.
I shall read the two entries, look at the photos and think about what I shall write in it.
The next person I will see next month at the New Zealand bookcrossing convention so I will pass it to her then.

Thank you to Gussy916 for sending it so far, I found the package it came in very interesting and the stamps are lovely. :o)

Journal Entry 8 by rarsberry from Christchurch, Canterbury New Zealand on Monday, February 20, 2006
Quick update.
I know I have had this journal almost a month, I don't mean to hold it for so long.
I've been so busy with our convention.
The convention is over so I finally have time to fill it in and send it on its way. :o)

Journal Entry 9 by rarsberry from Christchurch, Canterbury New Zealand on Thursday, March 16, 2006
Me again.
I am so very sorry for holding this bookring up for so very long, its not like me to hold onto something BC for so long.
I made the time this afternoon to fill it in.
I have KB's address and will get it into the mail ASAP. We have a long weekend here in NZ this weekend so I might have to send it on Wednesday if the post office is closed on Monday.

Thank you for letting me be a part of the journal and maybe later I can read what others have written in it.

Journal Entry 10 by KrazyBlonde from Auckland, Auckland Province New Zealand on Tuesday, April 4, 2006
Thanks for the journal rarsberry. I have enjoyed looking at the pics and reading the entries. Must be my turn to write.

Journal Entry 11 by rem_IYK-917793 on Sunday, April 23, 2006
well, this lovely little journal turned up in my mailbox this morning - thanks shelley for starting it, and thanks krazyblonde for posting it to me!! i'll admit i was a bit sad to find out that i'd be one of the first people to write in it - i was so looking forward to reading about my fellow bookcrossers! - so was really glad that they'll be available as bookrings when they're all finished. count me in, please!!

now i have to wonder what i can write that will be interesting to other people. i guess we've all got the same problem - unless we're doing life-saving work, or having great adventures, we think our lives won't be interesting to anyone else. on the contrary, i think it's wonderful to discover so many similarities that transcend language, race and religion... we really do want the same things!!

i'll be as quick as i can, so this journal can continue it's journey. thanks again for allowing me to be a part of this bookring-with-a-difference!!

Journal Entry 12 by rem_IYK-917793 on Thursday, May 4, 2006

Journal Entry 13 by rem_IYK-917793 on Sunday, May 7, 2006
i left the "all about me" journal at grooble's house yesterday (this is the detour i mentioned before). enjoy!!

Journal Entry 15 by grooble from Adelaide, South Australia Australia on Saturday, May 20, 2006
I have finished my little bit, and am taking it to the next person this afternoon. I also need to pass on a big hug to cosminx for thinking of me for this journal, and for her wonderful entry. Here's to bookcrossing friendships!

Journal Entry 16 by magicjessnrach from Flagstaff Hill, South Australia Australia on Sunday, May 21, 2006
Grooble dropped this off for me today. I'm looking forward to reading it and contributing my little piece. Thanks for such a lovely idea Snowy652 :)

Journal Entry 18 by Purple-lilly from Heathfield, South Australia Australia on Friday, July 7, 2006
Magicjessnrach passed this on to me at our luch today. What a bonus, I get to meet her AND read about some other bookcrossers at the same time , it is great ! I did tell magicjessnrach that it was cheating to have a photo of her insunnies!! but now I come to think of it it's not a bad idea.

Journal Entry 19 by Purple-lilly from Heathfield, South Australia Australia on Thursday, November 23, 2006
Posted off last week to the next recipient. I am so embarassed to haave kept this for so long. I dont want to offer any excuses , it is inexcusable to have been so thoughtless, but I do want to apologise to everyone on the list and especially to snowy652.

Dear Shelley

Thank you for your sending this book out and thanks to the previous journallers particularly Cara for her wonderful contribution. I have written a bit about myself and about two projects of mine that have taken up my spare time for the last five years! Cee-Blue has asked to be skipped so it is travelling today to freesia who is waiting expectantly. Merry Christms everyone.

Journal Entry 23 by freesia from Perth City, Western Australia Australia on Wednesday, January 3, 2007
How intriguing! This lovely book was perhaps the most charming of all the belated Christmas presents waiting for me at the Poste Restante. It's been fascinating reading everyone's entries, and admiring the photos, the artwork, embroidery, and beading ... but more than anything else, everyone's openness, honesty and inspiring strength. I hope my entry does justice to the rest of you!

Journal Entry 24 by astro2480 from Lismore, New South Wales Australia on Sunday, April 22, 2007
Arrived today ... look forward to reading everyone's story and adding my own.

Journal Entry 25 by astro2480 from Lismore, New South Wales Australia on Sunday, July 22, 2007
I am so sorry about taking so long with this ... RL just keeps getting in the way so I am going to pass on with just a quick note to let you know were it visited. I hate not being able to do something I committed to, but I just can't seem to get to this one. Sorry.

Journal Entry 26 by Shelly-Sparkles from Toogoolawah, Queensland Australia on Monday, July 30, 2007
How wonderfully egotistical writing about oneself! OOoohhhh I am so looking forward to this.

Only briefly have I delved into this journals pages......November 2005 it began.

Oh I want one of my own. Please Please Please can I have one ?

Look out for my forum post for those whom would like to write again or know of another Bookcrosser who would be willing ready and able to take part in a journal for me.

I am not reading any one's entry before I add my own - I don't want to be influenced or swayed in what I write about......

So far the Journal as been to Australia and New Zealand.
I am No 11 on the list (insert a *wolf whistle* - legs eleven - for those whom know the bingo call) on the list.

Once I have funky-filled the journal with my entry I will be contacting our Irish counterpart House-elf. As their name is No. 12.

How magical if this journal repeated over and over again the participants so we could update and re- read where everyone is in their lives.

p.s. The picture is what I have added to the journal.

Happy days
Michelle

Journal Entry 27 by Shelly-Sparkles from Toogoolawah, Queensland Australia on Tuesday, July 31, 2007
Have now completed my journal entry.

Thoroughly enjoyed reading tidbits about my fellow bookcrossers.
Am definately wanting to start a journal to send around the world of my own.

Am now contacting house-elf for her address.

Tootles and Happy Days
Michelle
p.s this is me with the journal getting ready to post it off. I have added the colourful ribbon to hold the pages together!

Journal Entry 28 by Shelly-Sparkles from Toogoolawah, Queensland Australia on Monday, September 24, 2007
This book came back to me yesterday as 'return to sender'.

I am again contacting Leah to ask for her correct address......

Journal Entry 29 by Shelly-Sparkles from Toogoolawah, Queensland Australia on Friday, October 26, 2007
Sorry but this journal is still with me.

*sigh*

Due to the postage costs of re-sending this journal to the correct address of Leah (which I now have) I have not been able to include the costs in my budget. The postage cost is $14.00 aud - but I have put aside this money and this will be posted next week.

So by the time that I re post - this has cost me $28.00.
Please ensure that when this journal travels - those who give out your address ensure that you have given correct details as this was one costly error and not my error (which makes it sting even more). *winge* and *complain*

Happy Days
Michelle

Journal Entry 30 by house-elf from Clacton on Sea, Essex United Kingdom on Monday, November 19, 2007
The book has arrived safely here in Nova Scotia, Canada today. I moved from Ireland back to Canada in Sept 06.

I am sorry that the book was delayed in reaching me, and that there was extra cost involved. We moved into a new house in September and I was not given the correct Postal Code by the real estate agent. It was a month or so before we realized the error. We have had a lot of problems with our mail for this (and various other) reasons. I hope to make my entry soon, and send it on it's way to the UK next week.

Journal Entry 31 by house-elf from Clacton on Sea, Essex United Kingdom on Saturday, November 24, 2007
I have sent the journal off by airmail to Lottiotta. It should arrive there before Christmas they said.

I have offered Michelle a couple of RABCK's to help offset the costs of her having to send me the Journal a second time due to postal code issues noted above. Thanks for letting me be part of the journal, I had fun reading the entries written before me.

Journal Entry 32 by Lottiotta from Aberdovey, Wales United Kingdom on Friday, December 7, 2007
Hey!

I just got this a few days ago, and I sat right there and read all the way through! Some of them really made me smile. :)

I've already written my entry, and although I don't have any photos to add I'll try and prettify it before I pass it on. Getting the next person's address just now.

Thanks so much to snowy and to everyone who took part!

6th January 2008
PMed Dark-draco a while ago, but heard nothing. Have just PMed again - if that doesn't work, I'll try the next person instead!

20th January 2008
Sent several PMs to dark-draco, with no response - PMing alans-daughter.

27th January 2008
Got home from my week away to find a PM from alans-daughter, will post 2nd class ASAP. Should be there by the end of the week.

2nd February 2008
Sent earlier this week, shouldn't be long now. :)

Journal Entry 33 by Lottiotta from Aberdovey, Wales United Kingdom on Tuesday, February 12, 2008
I'm starting to get worried, it's been a while since I posted it. I hope it's not lost. :S
