I found this CD really inspiring. In typical GEN style, it is a very harmonious whole. Even though the curriculum was created because of a belief that Western society in its present form is heading for a crisis, it maintains a very positive attitude, and with reason, because a lot has been achieved, especially over the last ten years of Global Ecovillage Network, and a lot of different initiatives in society are converging on a common redirection of the values and methods of civil society.
Some ideas that I had that might improve the curriculum:
:-) The resource sections after each module list a total of ~300 suggested books plus assorted DVD's, videos and internet sites, and a clearer prioritisation of where to start or references in the modules to indicate which resource builds on which topics would be very helpful
:-) The modules, especially in the economic section, are sometimes more written as if their intent is to refresh the memory of teachers who already know the full content rather than for people who need to fill in gaps in their knowledge to be able to arrive at a full featured background in the four dimensions: Worldview, Social, Economic and Ecological.

"... Our task as we move towards sustainability is to reverse this equation, with economy properly understood as a subsystem of ecology. Within this new paradigm, the scale and nature of economic activities will be limited by the carrying capacity of the Earth's various ecosystems."

Themed controlled release at the first Host training course of the Travelling School of Life from 14 to 22 January 2006.
