Finally I get around to journalling this book.
I read it in 2 days – this shows how much I liked it. But I’m glad I didn’t have to read it in school, because I absolutely would have hated it to dissect Holdens every move and motive. He is an interesting character and it is a good story – and that’s all I care about.
I especially liked the scribbled notes in this copy – obviously somebody did use it in school. It was fun to read some of the stuff and I was doubly glad it wasn’t me who had to do this interpreting.

The book goes off to holle77 as soon as I make it to the post office.

The book arrived today, thanks samulli for sending it and a big thank-you to hank who started this ring and has been very generous in giving me much time to read it. I will do my best ;-).

I finished it just half an hour ago. I think it is good to have read it but as well I think I am to late to read it! It would have touched me more if I had read it about 30 years ago. However I am glad to know what I did not read in the right time ;-)!
I'll send it to the next reader as soon as I get the address.
Tomorrow it will be travel to Carpe-Diem77.

It is my first english book for years ... and it was easy to read, although it takes me 3 weeks to finish it (without looking in my dictionary!!).
My opinion is like the one of samulli - it´s fun to read this book not in school, but just for my own (Now I closed another gap in my personal education :o)) and read the memos someone made at the edge of some pages to make his homework
Tomorrow the book will travel on to toshokanin - wish you´ll enjoy it, too!

The book arrived yesterday - thank you!

Comment (3/3/06): I read the book some time ago, but forgot to make a new JE right away.
I really liked the story. First I wondered what it is all about, but the longer I read it became more and more interessting. It is one of the books you have to read to the end to fully understand its story. And yes, I'm glad, too, that I didn't have to read it at school.

Read as part of my reading challlange 5 books, 5 countries, 5 continents

I'm still waiting for windstill's address who is moving house at the moment.
