Book 2 of the Tales of the Otori. This copy has a different cover.
This series, set in a Medieval Japan, tells the story of Takeo, heir to the Otori clan but pledged to the secret tribe. The story is very lyrical and the characters beautifully realised. As one reviewer said: Grass for His Pillow reads so easily, the prose flowing as smoothly as a heron flying over a lake. ...

I really enjoyed reading this series so now that I have a second copy of book 2 I want to share it. RockDg9 has it on her wishlist so it's off to her to enjoy.
Received today - thanks so much Lisagt! I have the first in the series *somewhere!* LOL! So, I'll have to locate it and read them together. I haven't read any by this author yet, but these books were highly recommended.
I enjoyed this second story of the Otori clan, the magical Tribe, Takeo and Kaede. The writing style is lovely and I think this book is better written than the first. It is good to have the cast of characters in the front to be able to keep check of who's who.
This will now be travelling to WistfulDragon in the UK who had lent me the first book in the series.

Thank you so much for sending me book two across the ocean to go with book one! Bookcrossers really are wonderful people. And I love reading such a well travelled book - at least, I shall do, once I've read book one!

The friend obviously passed me back this book, but goodness only knows how long ago or who it was, as it was found with a couple of others that had been hiding for some time....anyway, it is now firmly going in the to be released boxes, so hopefully will surface again in the near future!
