The book arrived yesterday and since it was a nice change for once NOT to have to read something but to WRITE.. I sat down immediately and copied two of my favourite recipes...

The cookbook-bookring (I love this word *g*) arrived today save and sound.

Already now, with only the enties of Keksi2 and Kiki66, its fun.
I'll add my favorite recipies (or some of them) and look forward to the second round.

You're lucky. As I'm staying at home today (because of a really bad cold) I had already time to add my recipes:
Lemon garlic Vinegar
Cold cherry-cream cake
Potato cheese salad

I didn't have the time to post the book friday. But today I'll probaly reach the post office before it closes. So our express cookbook won't be delayed further on its journey.

cooking book found in my postbox ;) thx - was really fast.
so far it´s allready a nice piece- and i'm looking forward to Round 2 (for the cremé de la cremé)!!!!!

add recipes:
+ Wine soup
+ apple strudel (quite typical for austria, and not *easy*)
+ flying kangaroo

keep it fresh!!!!

I've never made a journal entry like this before so hope I get this right. I received the cookbookring yesterday and I can't wait to get writing. So many recipes to choose from though!

Unfortunately I have to go away for several days tomorrow on business so promise to write up my recipes and post it on when I return.

UPDATE 4 Jan 2006:
Sorry to cause a hold up - Christmas took over somewhat. It finally made today's post with recipes for Beery beef and Lamb salad.

Oh goody arrived today. Just can't decide which recipes to put in. Have tyed my recipes and will stick them in as my handwriting is appalling. Just as well it's a thick book as I seem to have gotten a bit overexcited. Oooops.

Love the garlic-lime chicken...a big hit! I'm still planning to make the scones but can't find currants here. I really enjoyed seeing the panorama of ingredients, techniques, etc! Ready to move on!

Oh dear, oh dear, I hung on to this for way to long. So I sent it off today to arizonagirl. I'm sorry, everybody--I liked your recipes (wine soup?!), and I added some of my own (although the tomato recipe I added in August is sadly out-of-season now). The other day I had the most fabulous homemade pasta with duck confit and winter squash. I wish I knew the recipe for that one, but I tucked some other yummies in there for the rest of you to enjoy.
