McGown writes mysteries that are complex and interesting to read. Her characters are complicated as well, but none of this comes off as contrived for the sake of the mystery. Her sleuths, Hill and Lloyd, are great fun to follow through the series. This is not the best mystery in the series, but it resolves many questions about Hill and Lloyd for those who have been wondering.

I plan to read it when I go on vacation next month in the Caribbean. I'll probably leave it on one of the islands. Cheers!
