This was a great book! I finished it in one day and can't wait to read the sequal when it's published next year. It's about Tinker, a girl genius who lives in a near future Pittsburg, which now resides most of the time in an alternate universe called Elfhome. The author cleverly uses European and Japanese mythology to weave this wonderful story.
For the time being, I'm going to PC this book to give my friends an opportunity to read it before I release it, if I decide that I can let it go.

This book wants to travel! I'm starting a Ring and hope other's enjoy this as much as I did.

It's here -- thanks for sending it, colebear! Right to the top of Mt. TBR it goes! :)
What a fun book! I loved the characters and all the action. Wen Spencer has a great imagination. The story starts off with a bang! Things seemed to slow down just a little bit somewhere in the 100's page-wise (or it could be that I kept getting interrupted -- grrr!), but after that I didn't want to put the book down and stayed up late last night to finish! There's a ton of plot and world-building going on in here, but it's still easy to follow.
Yay -- there's another book in the series! I'd love to spend a little more time getting to know Windwolf and Pony, and from the title of the next book that just may be on the agenda.
Thanks for including me in this ring!

This was mailed to Krin511 this morning. Happy reading, everyone!
Arrived today - thanks!
I liked this mix of worlds - Earth and Elfhome - as well as the mix of magic and science. I'm looking forward to reading the sequel, Wolf Who Rules.
I will mail the book to ThanksMom by the weekend.

Book is safely here. I'll have it ready to move on by Tuesday.
I am so glad to have been included in this bookring. I didn't think I'd like this book so I was unwilling to purchase it. After reading it, I'd have to say I was wrong. I did like the story, and the rich descriptions therein. I went to a booksigning when this was first out in hardback, but Wen read from another writing not this book. Too bad. I'd have bought the book if I had known.
I like the elves being more than one dimensional untouchables. I like the love stories and family connections. I like the audaciousness of the heroine.
Thanks for sharing.
Book is on its way to Washington DC, purplemoonmyst is at college. (Hey purple, I was a relay operator in Great Falls, Virgina back in 1987, before the states did relay. Have great memories of the students at Gallaudet and a few wild stories about relay)
