My book group chose this as November's selection. I will do a more complete journal when I finish the book.

Although this novel has all the elements I usually look for in a book, I couldn't get into it. It has surprising twists and turns - perhaps too many, if there is such a thing? The prose is amazing and one woman in my book group who has been to India says the novel completely captures the feel of the country. I'm passing this on and I hope the next person who reads it enjoys it more than I did.
