"Willy Patrick fears she may be going mad...
Her husband and daughter were killed two years ago, but when she hears her daughter's voice calling for help she feels compelled to go and rescue her. Then she begins to suspect that her mysterious fiance' may have been involved in the murder of her family.
Meanwhile, author Tim Underhill is not only being haunted by his dead sister, but is also getting bizarre emails from people in his home town - none of whom are still alive. And when he meets Willy Patrick at a reading he starts to get really spooked. For Willy bears a striking resemblance to the heroine of the book he is currently working on, and appears to be in precisely the mortal peril he has invented for her...
A dark, elegantly written thriller with a chilling supernatural twist from the bestselling author of lost boy lost girl."
(Bought in Wilkinsons, 8 October 2005, for £3.75)

Interesting twist on the author/ character interaction.
I think the book would be more enjoyable/ make more sense having read lost boy lost girl first, (due to the references to that book in this one) but it worked fine on its own.
It was a reasonably quick read, though a little confusing in places with all the twists and turns!
I will not be reading it again, so will release it into the world and hope it finds an appreciative next reader. It's a shame it took me so long to get round to reading it!
