Journal Entry 4 by iownacatnamedmo from Elk Grove Village, Illinois USA on Monday, April 03, 2006
I am a teacher and I found this book in the high school where I teach (Elmhurst, IL). It looked like a library book that one of the kids must have left behind, except that it had this orange sticker begging for me to pick it up. I read the jacket cover, "Perfect for nostalgic adults who'll be happy they've grown up..." and decided to give it a read. Turns out it was a very quick read, and I loved it -probably because I could so easily relate to the main character's hyperobservant musings. It was a fun trip down memory lane. I think I'll take the book with me to the dentist's office (in Hoffman Estates, IL) next Saturday and hope that someone else will enjoy it as much as I did.
