I tried to read this, but I didn't like it. I am going to give it to my mom to pass on.

I guess Jsport didn't like this. It seemed a bit too much for him. When he told me, I flipped through it and the illustrations made the books seem pretty graphic in comparison to what he usually reads. The simple black and white illustrations show some machine gun wielding men, explosions, and a dead man injured in some manner holding a gun with blood around him. I guess I should have looked at it a little more carefully before purchasing it. Though he loves Choose Your Own Adventure books, he obviously didn't care much for the content of this. I don't censor what he reads much, but I guess he can be selective on his own.
I may read through it. I loved the Choose Your Own Adventure type books as a kid, too.

Hmmm....What a fitting book; it was about an oil shortage.
I was very interested as I read this book, not really because of the storyline. I just find the Choose Your Own Adventure format so interesting. The story was pretty violent, much more so than Jsport is accustomed to, but mabye it is something he would have enjoyed when he was older.
I am RABCKing this to littleacorn. I hope she and her son enjoy it!
