Couldn't resist this! Michael Jackson's autobiography.
This autobiography of Michael Jackson focuses on his career, from being the youngest member of Jackson 5, up until the book was released in 1988.
I enjoyed reading this, the language was simple and easy to read. But there were a few important messages in there. In light of recent events, parts of this book were poignant, particularly where Jackson talks about death. If you want an exposé and sensation, this is not the biography for you.

The book arrived yesterday, thanks RockDg9 :), naturally I had to read it straight away.
Some very interesting insights into his life as a musician and performer, childhood experiences and some attempts to paint a real (not edited by media) picture about himself. I was hoping for something more personal, the vast majority of the autobiography revolved around the 'biz' but ... he was a very private person after all.
Will pm freelunch so the book can move on.

this was a very readable book and I enjoyed it far more than I expected to. its a shame there'll never be a second volume.

Arrived safe and sound in the post - I'll put it next on the bedside table and pass along. I've not been a huge MJ fan, so will be an interesting read. Thanks all for sharing :)
This was a very interesting read and definitely gave me a different perspective to a celebrity I'd only ever read a bout in the tabloids before.
