Journal Entry 1 by sarradee from Dallas, Texas USA on Thursday, September 15, 2005
This bookbox is a collection of the books that I've read in September 2005. It may contain books of any genre, depending on what mood I'm in. Rules: (blatently stolen from nokturnalmuse) 1. Only US participants, please, to keep shipping costs down. 2. No Series Romance (Harlequin, Silhouette, etc.), No Historical Romance, and No Relay Killers - all other books ok. 3. All books should be labeled with a BCID. 4. Remove the books you want and replace with an equal or greater number to fill the box. 5. PM the next person to get their mailing information. 6. If there is no reply after several attempts, please skip to the next name on the list. 7. Send via media mail to keep costs down. Delivery confirmation is at your discretion. If you choose to use it, please add the tracking number to the journal entry. It's usually an unnecessary expense, however. 8. Please make a journal here when you receive or send the box - so we can all "follow" its journey and journal a list of what you take and what you put back in. 9. Please make a journal entry for all books you take on their individual listings. 10. Please ship box to the next person within no more than 2 weeks of receiving it - since you're only swapping books, this shouldn't be a problem. 11. If the box is getting tattered and doesn't look like it's going to make it to the next destination, please replace it. SpikesMom(Pennsylvania) Tribefan (Ohio) Schoolinathome (Alabama) Danesnboxers (Missouri) Pyan(Wisconsin) Terrafreaky (Kansas) Xallroyx(California? or APO?) A selection of the books that will be included: A Mortal Glamour The Witches Grave Every Which Way But Dead Harriet the Spy The Wizard of Whitechapel Mystic River Farm Fatale The Secrets of Nostrodamus Exposed Predator Ruffian: Burning from the Start Picket Fence Breathing Lessons

Journal Entry 3 by WestofMars from Mars, Pennsylvania USA on Friday, October 07, 2005
Did this get mailed first class or something??? Anyway, the box is here and happy. I am taking out Mystic River and a Mortal Glamour... and, okay, Every Which Way But Dead. I know, I'm on a ring for it, but why tempt fate? ... because I'll get the PM telling me I'm next the morning after I choose to take this out... so it's staying. Funny story... when I saw that Farm Fatale was going to be included in the box, I was very excited to read it. I've seen it on the relays, I've heard everyone talking about it as they read it... I had to check it out for myself. I picked it up and read the back of the book. It sounded suspiciously like Pastures Nouveaux, which I just relayed off. I mean, even the character names were the same. Weird, I thought, and checked the first page... Stupid publishers ought to learn not to change a book's title from continent to continent... And going into the box are: Farscape: House of Cards Shadowmancer

Journal Entry 10 by terrafreaky from Olathe, Kansas USA on Thursday, December 01, 2005
Arrived today. Yahoo!! PM'd Xallroyx to see which address would be better to use. We're getting very close to her mailing deadline -- and let me add an early WELCOME HOME!! This box now appears to have been kicked all the way from Pyan's house to mine. It's more of a ball than a box. No matter which address it's going to - this bookbox's next journey is not going to be a short one. :) Replacing box, BCID transferred to new box. Plus I took out two of the smaller books & I can't figure out how to get everything back in with my books included! ;-) The new box is slightly roomier, so I'll be sure to fill it up. *g* Taking out: Farscape: House of Cards Bird In a Cage Putting in: Politically Correct Holiday Stories: For an Enlightened Yuletide Season by James Finn Garner Jealousy/In the Labyrinth by Robbe Grillet Where You'll Find Me by Ann Beattie Until The Bough Breaks by Christine McGuire
