Finally managed to get to post office today and book is now on its journey to wolfprincess.
This arrived yesterday sorry I was not able to get on line. KSK is already reading the book and should be done soon so it can keep moving quickly.
KSK loved the book. It was a quick read and I will be mailing this book off this week to olered. KSK wants to thank you for letting her read the book. She is not much for saying a lot about books so I do not get to type much for her when she reads. With her she either loved it or didn't. We now have another author for her to read. So I thank you for helping me find her more authors so she wont get boared
'The Trace' arrived today. It looks interesting on the front and back cover and I can hardly wait to get started.
It's the first Patricia Cornwell I've read and I enjoyed the book. The writing is good and solid with no slow spots. A good mystery, not necessarily a thriller. I'm delighted to have the exposure and will read her books again. Mailing today to heartsong2.
Arrived in post today! Just finished a book and will be able to get started on it right away. This will be my second Cornwell experience (Isle of Dogs is the other I've read).
PS: Thank you for the postcard, olered. It looks like a beautiful place!

A most excellent story! People have told me that I would really like Patricia Cornwell because of being a nurse and the medical stuff she has in there. Well, I realize now the Isle of Dogs is from the Andy Brazil Series, and it must be the Scarpetta books that have the good medical stuff in them, which I thought this one did. But inaccuracies bug me. At the end, it talked about the guy who got his pneumonia shot along with his flu shot every year, but this particular year he got the pneumonia shot but couldn't get the flu shot because the supply ran out. Well, the stuff about the flu shot was true, but in reality, you only the get the pneumonia shot once every 10 years. Not that anyone else cares, but details like that make me have to laugh sometimes! Anyway, I did really enjoy the story and will look for others from the Scarpetta series in the future.
Have chich's address and will post to her this coming Wednesday!

I've read every single Scarpetta novel and the last one I really enjoyed was Black Notice. I think it's actually Cornwell's best novel and the climax of all previous Scarpetta books. I'm afraid I've been disapointed by every single Scarpetta novel Cornwell has written ever since and they just don't seem to do it for me anymore. Too bad, since Patricia Cornwell used to be one of my favorite authors...
Anyway, thanks a lot for sharing Charlieboots76!
I got gussy916's address through Rabck.com and will send her the book this afternoon.

It's here! Safe and sound. Thanks Chich!
My home is a bit chaotic right now, and I dont want to misplace the book in all that chaos. Since I'm last on the list for now, I'm going to put reading this on hold for a bit...until I'm a bit more organised at home.(not more than a week!)
Thanks everyone for passing it along!

The book is here, safe and next on my TBR

I finished reading it before Xmas.
My first Kay Scarpetta novel! Well, I suppose those who have already read another ones will enjoy them more... being familiar with the cast of characters and all. Otherwise, it can get a bit confusing...
Overall, I enjoyed it, gory bits and everything, and couldn't put it down...
Thanks for sharing, and sorry that I took so long!

only the second Scarpetta novel I've read, it kept me engaged right until the end............. unfortunately that was where it ended. the conclusion of this book was so disappointing! it seemed as though it was heading for a gripping climax, then *poof!* nothing.
disappointed!
