I've been working on this book for about a month now; it is not one that I was able to read quickly, which usually means that I didn't like it that much. And yet, I'm torn about whether I actually liked it or not; either way, I thought it was well done, though I wish she had focused more on the after rather than the before.

My favorite quote:
"The sun shone through the Plymouth window directly down at Rahel. She closed her eyes and shone back at it."
