Book description: "This impassioned manifesto on punctuation made the best-seller lists in Britain and has followed suit here. Journalist Truss gives full rein to her "inner stickler" in lambasting common grammatical mistakes. Asserting that punctuation "directs you how to read in the way musical notation directs a musician how to play," Truss argues wittily and with gusto for the merits of preserving the apostrophe, using commas correctly, and resurrecting the proper use of the lowly semicolon." I enjoyed reading this book - I especially liked the analogy of commas as sheepdogs!

On loan from Krin, what a sweetie! I have been wanting to read this one for a while. I was editor-in-chief of my college newspaper, and the articles we had to edit and read... ugh... torture! So this book has been on my wishlist for a while!

I've had this book way too long, with the promise to read and return. I'm sending this back in the mail to Krin. Sorry about holding onto it for so long, truth is, I have no idea when I'll have time to read it. It's already been a year and a half.

This book arrived home sometime last week. Sorry you didn't have time to read it - hopefully you'll get your own copy someday!
