I took this book away from the August Vancouver Bookcrossing meetup. It's unregistered, so I have done the deed for it.
It's mixture of crime/detective story with added near-term science-fiction type extrapolation. I found it an adequate read, but thought that the high tech gizmos that were essential to the story were rather unconvincing, especially the way that the hero could buy some of them easily and relatively cheaply. If they were that easy to get hold of, why don't the bad guys have them too?
I'm not going to take this back to the UK with me, so I will release it later today.
