Journal Entry 1 by AngelChild from Rochester, Kent United Kingdom on Friday, August 26, 2005
They call it the tall poppy syndrome. If you are too successful, you must be cut down to size . . . Synopsis Nina Roth and Elizabeth Savage come from different sides of the world - from utterly different sides of the social track. But under the skin they are the same: desperate to escape from a past which dragged them down, determined to make an extra mark on the world in spite of appalling personal tragedies. Drawn together by coincidence, held together by recognition, they are both determined to succeed. But they are both unlucky in love - and have enemies who will not willingly let them succeed. And the trouble with being a tall poppy is that people always know where to find you ...'Her novels are action-packed; her heroines gorgeous ...I loved it' Daily Mail

Journal Entry 6 by AnonymousFinder on Monday, January 09, 2006
Sounded good by the end of the first 3 pages but then got frankly boring. The only useful thing was that it passed the time whilst siting in a bomb shelter as nasty people fired rockets at me. As you can guess, they missed the spot. So did the book. CAUGHT IN BASRAH IRAQ
