From the back cover:
Eleven years ago Will's ex-girlfriend was found brutally murdered. The prime suspect: Will's brother Ken. With overwhelming evidence against him, Ken disappeared and his family believed he had gone for good.
Over a decade later Will is still convinced of his brother's innocence. And, when the new woman in his life disappears, Will is pulled into a dark and violent mystery. He can feel himslef coming closer and closer to a terrible secret, a secret someone will do anything to keep buried. As the lies begin to unravel, Will starts to uncover startling truths about his lover, is brother and even himself...

It was an okay read. I wouldn't rush out to buy another Coben, but if I found one in the wild I might pick it up. The characters lacked coherency, the plots was implausible and the final twist was a little too much. And I usually like crime/thriller/suspense, too!

Found in Santa Fe at the Oracle, Reading. Was intrigued....half way through...want to keep reading.

Finished!!! I thought it was a good read...very pacy. I agree the characters weren't very believeable but I enjoyed the twists and turns. I'm now going to look out for another Coben, 'The Innocent', the 1st chapter of which I read in 'New beginnings' a collection of short stories and 1st chapters compiled in aid of the Tusnami relief fund. As this is my first plunge into the world of Bookcrossing.com I will definitely be on the look out for more travelling books.

Imagine my surprise when I discovered a book nestled among the newspapers that I was shuffling through! Certainly not an everyday occurance for me, it actually made my day. I have to confess that it then sat on my bookshelf for a good month or so before I actually deigned to pick it up and get reading. Now I've finished it and I have to say that it was a fun read. Maybe not the most well written book in the world, but certainly enjoyable enough. Its the sort of thing I can imagine reading on holiday... If only I could afford to go on holiday! Either way, I have a release planned for a week or so away, so keep watching this space, who knows where it could end up???

I found this book 3 years ago and it has been sitting on my shelf waiting for me to read. Finally I have come away on honeymoon and finished reading it.

The writing is very American and at times predictable and towards the end I was beginning to grow impatient. Until thwe twists arrived and it became a very satisfying read.

I intend on leaving the book here in Mauritius for the next lucky bookcrosser!
