Perfect Match: A Novel
6 journalers for this copy...
I purchased this book from The Bookman in Old Colorado City. I am registering it so I can reserve it for Apolonia. Will read and journal again soon.
Great book! There were many twists and turns to the story, typical of Jodi Picoult. I really liked how the story was told from many different viewpoints, with only the protagonist's view told in the first person. It really makes one wonder if they would have committed the act if they were in Nina's shoes. Although I enjoyed the book, I am becoming weary of Picoult's books turning into courtroom novels. I hope Apolonia enjoys it as I did!

I don't remember accecpting a relay for this one, unless it was a reverse-wishlist relay. Hmm.. could it be a Rabck? Either way you rock for sending it DreamSE22. Ever since I read Salem Falls I have been wanting more Jodi Picoult! They are very hard to come by second hand, I think everyone wants them. As soon as I get my Owed Tbr pile under control, I will get to this one. I will journal again once I've read it and passed it on.
Sending this off to Appaloosatb, as part of a reverse wishlist relay. Enjoy!
This arrived safely in Minnesota. Thanks!
I somehow ended up with two copies of this book, so am sending this one on to lukutuoli off her wishlist. Enjoy! :)

The book safely arrived to Finland today, thanks a lot, appaloosatb and DreamSE22! I've read many Picoult's books this year and liked all of them, can't wait to have time to read Perfect Match, too!

What an interesting and thought-provoking story, I was captivated by it for a couple of days, wanted to read it immediately to the end! A touching view to maternity and the relationship between mother and child as well as to child abuse. As a mother I could emphatize with Nina - if someone hurts my children very much, I might perhaps kill ...??
Thank you so much lukutuoli!! Received this due to the holiday wishlist, along with some other surprises! I've heard so much about Jodi Picoult's books and have yet to read one so I'm very excited to get a chance to read this one! Will post again once I get it read!
What an interesting book! I had a hard time putting it down!
Although at times it is hard to like Nina, it sure makes you wonder how far a mother is willing to go to protect her child. The only problem I had with that is that if you are in jail, how are you able to protect & raise your child? She appears to think it is a selfless act, but I think it is more selfish. Still, it made me think. I love Jodi Picoult's books because they really show many sides of a situation. The other thing I didn't like so much in this book was the writing from Nathanial's viewpoint. It didn't seem like a five-year olds thoughts, in my opinion they were too advanced for the child even considering all he has been through.
This was my 2nd read from Picoult (the first being The Pact) and I will definitely be reading more of hers!

Sending this to jumpingin as she requested it in my RABCK offer. Hope you enjoy this one as Jodi Picoult has definitely become a favorite author of mine!
I received this from Rhonder as part of a wonderful RABCK. Thank you so much! I've read one other Jodi Picoult and I'm looking forward to this one.
Unfortunately I didn't enjoy this book as much as I'd expected too. Even as a mother, I couldnt identify at all with Nina and what she did, and I felt the writing was overwrought.
I did find the story interesting enough to finish--I wanted to know what happened in the end.
Thanks again, Rhonder for sending me this book!
