Dancing with the Virgins
3 journalers for this copy...
In a remote part of the Peak District stand the Nine Virgins, a ring of stones overshadowed by a dark legend. Now, as winter closes in, a tenth figure is added to the circle - the body of Jenny Weston is discovered, her limbs arranged so she appears to be dancing. This might only be the beginning.

Thanks sterile!
I'm looking forward to this as loved Black Dog.
Have another two in the series arriving from Oslo sometime so will bring with me when I've read them.

I greatly enjoyed this book although it took a bit of time to get going.
It is more creepy than Black Dog, with spooky references to the nine virgins and the fiddler stones looking like they were coming to life and people having visions on the moors.
I wasn't very convinced by Diane Fry in this book - she seemed so hard and aggressive (and quite stupid sometimes!) and the poor old girlfriend of Ben Cooper was practically non-existent.
Saying that, I devoured the book within 3 days.
I am going to pass this onto 2 friends in Sheffield - one of whom has already read Black Dog and loved it.

Got this from my Mum together with Black Dog (132743) and Blood on the tongue (1275895). Prior to that they were with my sister in sheffield, I suspect they were passed on directly by Vegan Knitter of Bolton. Will put in more when read
