This one was made into a pretty good movie although the book is much better, as is the case most of the time...

Received as part of a book relay. I have read most of Patterson's Alex Cross books, but have thus far not read the first one.

A good start to the Alex Cross canon. I find that the character seems to have become a little more refined as the series goes along, which is good. There's a twist at the end I didn't see coming, but I usually don't see these things coming--I'm a little dense that way.

Sent off today to Portugal as part of a trade. Enjoy, kizmiaz!

What a fast ride this book is, I can't believe I hadn't read anything by this author before.
Once I picked up this book I just couldn't put it down, and I'm not much of a mystery fan, this is some good and clever writting and keeps you on the edge of the seat right until the end.
Even though I enjoyed the movie that came out of this book, the book is way better. Of course, I also enjoyed Morgan Freeman as Alex Cross but the Alex in the book...well, let's just say he's not like Morgan Freeman at all.
