This book was an entertaining read for ME, but disturbingly chilling and dark for a little kid. I know that is the hot trend in children's lit right now, but I don't necessarily approve, mainly when the dark, creepy bits far outweigh any positive aspects of the story....darkness for darkness' sake. Neil Gaiman can write wonderfully gothic stuff...but my daughter would get nightmares for sure. No thanks.
