The begining went very slow but it finally began to pick up steam once it got to the heart of the story, about the bombing of Gestapo headquaters in Copenhagen near the end of World War II. I did get lost in the maze of names at one point but it was a good read. I think if I had discovered the map of the 6th floor prison earlier on, I would have done a bit better in keeping track of everyone.

Very good history of the German occupation of Denmark the the subsequent raid on the Gestapo headquarters. Reilly does well in explaining how Denmark came to be occupied by the Nazi's, but the later chapters involving the RAF raid are the best.

Picked up at a book crossing meetup. Very timely for me as I spent a several months working next to the museum of the Danish resistance in Copenhagen recently. For me the most interesting aspect of the book was in the effectiveness (or not) of the German efforts to suppress resistance -- very pertinent to Iraq, torture, etc.
