For bookreadera's Read & Release Banned Books in 2006 Challenge (April book)
I can see why some people wanted it banned, and why some people don't like Heinlein.
You can certainly tell it was written in the 60's! It may have been the right book with the right message at the right time. Perhaps that was why it became a cult classic. And perhaps that’s what makes it rather dated, from a sociological point of view.
Starts off well, but didn’t care much for the second half. A classic, maybe, but not a favourite for me. I will, however, try one more Heinlein before I write him off.
Hope it finds a more appreciative audience.
