Read this either when I was here last time or immediately after and I recall liking it. PIcked it up at Woody's when I had credit to use and nothing that I wanted to get. Will have a quick reread and then pass it on. Possibly to Amber and Sally if they haven't read it.

I read this book after I was here last time but it meant more now that I've seen more of Australia. I thought Sean was a bit whiny at times and I can't agree with his thoughts on backpackers==we're not all *that* bad but it's not a bad read. Will offer to AmberC since she's travelled around Australia or release in Darwin.

Going to hand to amberC tomorrow - dipped in and out of the book - concentrated on the the bit about the top-end but just wanted to slap the two idiots. There is so much more to Darwin than drinking yourself to oblivion. Trouble is you can walk down Mitchell street any night of the week and see young males like this - doing exactly what they do in this book and feel they have 'seen' Australia. Sorry lads - you ain't seen nothing!!!!!

I would hate to travel with Sean, so whiny and neurotic. I don't think you can say you have 'seen' Australia when you drink yourself around the country in 7 weeks. I did get a laugh from some of their adventures.
