This book was amazing. Shreve has done it again. She has an ability to romantacize terribly unromantic situations. This love story has horrible obstacles and despite cheating spouces and terrible obstacles you don't hate the characters. I enjoyed them in spite of their flaws. Linda was written beautifully and Thomas was more enjoyable throughout the book.
In real life though, I don't know that I could have ever forgiven Thomas, but Shreve is amazing at leaving the reader to make up their own mind.
off to purple-pixie in the UK! ;)

I doubt that i would have been quite as forgiving toward Thomas too! Initially I found this a more difficult book than others I have read by Shreve, but it was well worth perservering.

WoW! I read this at Pisa airport, waiting for my flight... and I loved it! It wasn't as amazing as some other books I've read recently but it was a truly wonderful read and I did love the ending! I definitely want to read more by Shreve now!

Oops it didn't have April exchange on the package so I've opened it today which is a bit early but I will put it away safely. Thanks a lot.
Normally I enjoy Ms Shreve's work but I didn't like either of the main characters here so its taken me some time to read this book. I did like the ending though.
