This must be one of the best thrillers I have ever read, with lots of action, and medical and religious intrigues... Moreover, the plot is impeccable, and it is very well written and easy to follow... Even though it is not that original, this is a new treatment of the idea (I don't want to spoil it for anybody!) And I loved the way the author moves us from setting to setting: the Vatican, Zurich, the U.S.A.... he seems to have been everywhere, according to the rich descriptions... Not to mention the little town of Montecastello, and its picturesque pension. Sometimes I could guess what was going to happen; this is the only catch. Maybe I have read too many mysteries... Looking forward to finding more novels by John Case; if they are half as good, they are good for me! Thanks for sharing it, Xeyra (you should definitely read it sometime!). And thanks for sending it through, Rrrcaron. I have FireOpal's address, and it will soon be on its way to her. Eva |
