Wilful Behaviour (Bookring)
6 journalers for this copy...
"When one of his wife Paola's students comes to visit him, with a strange and vague interest in investigationg the possibility of a pardon for a crime committed by her grandfather many years ago, Commissario Brunetti thinks little of it, beyond being intrigued and attracted by the girl's intelligence and moral seriousness. But when she is found dead, clearly stabbed to death, Claudia Leonardo is suddenly no longer simply Paola's student, but Brunetti's case..."
Quite a typical Donna Leon novel. I think this one to be better than A Sea Of Troubles with which I had some problems to get into it. This one is quite a good read!

Received this today. I have one book ahead of it, but then I'll read it and speed it on its way. Thank you.
This is why I love Donna Leon. It isn't the mystery...I'm actually not much of a fan of mysteries...it's the way she evokes Venice on every page. Reading one of her books is like taking a trip back to one of my favorite cities, and I savor every minute of it.
I will PM icila immediately, but I leave this weekend for vacation and will not be back until the 14th, so I'll have to ship it then.

Sending to Icila. Thanks for waiting until I got back from vacation!
Loving Donna Leon and Venice,I look forward to read this one !
Thanks to Piggeldy and fsr44.
Thanks to Piggeldy and fsr44.
Perhaps the better Donna Leon's I have read. Besides the true live of the true venitians as usual and why I love Brunetti's stories there is an interesting point of History. The text is more incisive. I read the previous in french and I look forward to read the next in english.

now the book is on the way to the next
Arrived safely today - thank you for the ring and for sending it to me. There is a kind of "ring wave" here at the moment but Donna Leon can always be "squeezed in"....
As some people have written before me, this is one of the "nicer" Donna Leons. I really liked the story, and - as usual - I liked the charakters. However, the end was quite a bit strange - and quite nasty!
As eimer does not want this ring at the moment, it will travel back home today!
Thank you for sharing this book!

Oh-uh... I forgot to make a journal entry... The book arrived here quite a long time ago, and today I got a request to participate - and I noticed I didn't tell you it arrived at home well.
The book will travel to Somipago as soon as I've read the other ring here with me where she's the next reader ;-)
