Picked this up at Meet-up. Thanks bookworm-BNE!
As I mentioned I've never read any Nick Hornby, only seen the movies, which I enjoyed. (High Fidelity, About a Boy and Fever Pitch)
I'll read this and then pass it on to someone else at Meet-up as I'm sure that I pinched it out from under their noses!! (Hee, Hee)
I'll journal again when I've read it.

How to be good? A suburban mother ponders if it is enough to be a doctor, kind to animals and children, or if there needs to be more.
She asks her husband for a divorce and her world turns upside down. A mystical healer moves into her spare room and her husband gives up his job and sets out to save the world.
As everyone around her reassesses their lives she finds that to be good...
....you first have to be good to yourself.
I'll take this back to Meet-up to pass around.

I really enjoyed this book - my first Nick Hornby. Amazing how he can combine such interesting characters, depth and humour.
I'm sorry, a big dose of real life thrown at me recently. Just finished another Nick Hornby, like his Brisbane style.
Hope to read it soon.

Well this one was a little surprising. Suburban mum lives with the Angriest Man In Holloway, no really that is the name of the column that he writes. One day while parked in a carpark on the phone to David, her husband, she tells him she wants a divorce.
I was never sure where this one was going, sometimes it felt like it was trying to be funny and sad and moralistic all at the same time, leaving me a little confused about what he was trying to achieve.
Still it was worth a read.

Back from its journey, available for release or whatever
