No. 3 in the series but perfectly readable on its own. Clever and funny like all books from this author. They're making a television series about these books, so they must be good!
NB You do not need to be a beautiful girl to read this book.

I enjoyed the book but I think "Tears of the giraffe" was better.
I passed it on to Sunneschii in Switzerland.

Thank you very much, allbookedup... for both, the book and the CD!:-)))
I think this one was the best of this series I've read so far. Are they getting better?
It was the most modern story, with less stories than normally. And Mma Makusi developped greatly!
I'm looking forward to read the next one!

Picked up from the meetup yesterday!
a lovely book as always! These are so easy to read, but just full of simple wisdom and insights into people's behaviour. McCall Smith has perfected the 'voice' of Precious Ramotswe, but I agree with Sunneschii that this book really develops the character of Mma Makutsi. But when is the wedding going to take place? I must read book no 4 soon :-)

I changed my mind and decided to release it in Portland, Maine as I read that there were bookcrossing zones here. I went to 2 of them and couldn't find them so I left it in the free book area at the Portland Public Library.
