After their aircraft crashes, three men set off through the Burmese jungle to find help. Forrester takes the lead, but Carrington can't walk and Blore disappears. A very well-crafted story of heroism, courage and romance in wartime Burma.

To be very frank, I did not read the book cos fiction don`t interest me. I prefer reading biographies and anything pertaining to real life happenings.
Came into work at the University of Birmingham in the Centre for Global Ethics and found it next to the computer I was going to use. I assumed that someone had left it until I looked closer....! Haven't read it yet but may take it away on holiday next week to Croatia. The book seems apt as my Grandad was a P.O.W in Burma in the Second World War...
