Notes on a Scandal

This book was on the Booker Prize short list for 2003. Ostensibly the story of a woman teacher who has an affair with one of her pupils, an affair which wrecks her career, marriage and family, it is in the main the story of a treacherous, envious, and twisted friendship and how that impacts on the sequence of events and the behaviour of all the characters. Definately recommended.
To be released at "The Writer" on Hampstead Heath on June 26th 2005.

I haven't read the book yet I only caught an hour or so ago on Hampstead Heath under the giant table and chairs. I can't wait to read it as it looks like a really good book. I plan to read it maybe the week after next and perhaps release it on the DLR to Mudchute as that is where I am moving house next weekend and everybody on those trains looks so bored. I love bookcrossing I think that it is an amazing idea and thank you to Herschelian for releasing it in so apt a spot!
