10 out of 10

It's been a while since I read this book, but it was one of my favorite books growing up!

As I wish to share the book with others, I'm starting a bookring with it!

Thanks krin511, I've received it in the mail yesterday (July 7th). I'm afraid my mum has already started reading it (she's practicing her English and is a very slow reader), so if she's not finished within a month I'll take over. ;-)

10 out of 10

As mirp joined this ring as well, I've moved "All creatures great and small" up my reading list and I'm glad I did! This is such a beautiful book (based on the authors own life)... filled with wonderful, cute and funny stories.

Next to being a vet, James Herriot is a talented writer as well... well, a great story teller at least! He tells you how he ended up with his boss Siegfried (and his goofy-always-in-trouble brother Tristan) in a beautiful rough part of England, he takes you along on his rounds, he makes you acquainted with the local people and their habits,...

I really loved this book... it made me smile, it made me laugh, it even made me blink aways some tears. :-) Even if you're not into animals you will love this book. I sure know that I'm going to keep a look out for more of his books.

Thanks a lot for sharing this krin511! The book is already on its way to mirp in Ireland (I've sent it out on the 4th of August)... enjoy! :-)

haven't been well and just can't concentrate on reading at the moment. I'll post this back to krin511 this week. Posted 18/10/05
