Believe it or not, that is exactly what happens to Allison Jean (AJ) McCreary. For an aspiring photographer getting ready to go to college, a cupid like this could really enhance her future. But AJ had spent five long, torturous months obsessed with Peter Terris, "an individual of full-orbed gorgeousness". How can hse resist the chance to make sure that Peter falls equally had for her? It all sounds so easy. Just one shot from the cupid's bow and thwonk, she has Peter. After all, the devotion of a handsome, wonderful guy is exactly wht she has always wanted...or is it?

I've given this the 55 page test and feel there are other things I would rather read. The story's set-up was just too obvious and it smacks of wholesome American YA author. I'm sure she'll try to sneak a lesson in this somewhere. She's written down to her audience. Too bad as the idea was a good one.
