Drama follows drama and only after Jarita saves Alvaric from a cruel death can they surrender to the divine rapture that makes them no longer two people but one in heart, body and soul.

This was my first read by Barbara Cartland, and it was an experience. I don't think she'll become a favourite author or anything like that, but I'll definitely pick up another if I feel like a laugh and a lot of flowery language! The description pretty much says it all so I won't add anything further to that.

If there's any Cartland fans out there I'm happy to post this anywhere as it's only small. Not in real great condition, though - it's very old and has very yellow pages, some tears and staining, old book smell, etc.

This is a short, light read and is good for when you don't really want to think too much. It is not explicit, so if you read romances for titillation you will be disappointed. This is an old-fashioned romance that leaves the sexual stuff to the imagination. This was an easy and enjoyable read.
