This is a pretty fun book, though there was not much in it I had not already heard at one time or another. I must confess I didn't read the entire thing--I got caught up in Harrymania and let the Beatlemania slide. I have silverstarry's address and will mail the book to her this week. Thanks for sharing this one, andrea1982! Update: Mailed to silverstarry 7-26-05.

Journal Entry 7 by silverstarry from Berkeley, California USA on Saturday, August 06, 2005
What a fun book! To be fair, I already knew most of this stuff because I took a course on the Beatles when I was in college, but this is a great way to learn a lot about the band in a few short hours rather than reading one of those gigantic coffee table books about them. I liked that the book was organized into themed sections, but the section on the spouses/girlfriends would have been better organized chronologically because it was somewhat confusing to read about Paul's first wife, then his second wife, then back to when he proposed to his first wife. Even though I remember a lot of these factoids from my college class (and just general knowledge), it's amazing to be reminded how much the Beatles accomplished. Twelve songs on the Hot 100 chart at the same time, including spots one through five? Wow. Thanks so much to andrea1982 for sharing this book!
