Saw this title on Sobergirl's cyber-bookshelf and thought as I'm local (so don't have to pay for postage :-)) I'd ask to read it. Maybe it'll make me more confident when buying wine...? I'll report back later!

An interesting book, good for dipping into here and there. At times the writer (or translator?) comes across as rather pompous, but it's worth sticking with it (or at least skipping on to the next section) because some of it is really interesting. Chapter 8, on wine and health, contained some information new to me - although I wonder whether all of it is still medically accepted (the book was written in 1977): wine's uses in treating or helping to alleviate symptoms such as anemia, [duodenal] ulcers, gastro-intestinal bugs, diabetes ... Of course it also acknowledges concerns over alcoholism, and other conditions which may make the drinking of wine ill-advised.

I happen to be headed to Spain soon, so I think I will take this book with me, and leave it somewhere where an English-speaking tourist could find it.
